BookmarCat is a bookmark management service that allows you to:
- Save and organize website URLs
- Automatically fetch and store metadata from bookmarked websites (titles, descriptions, keywords, images)
- Categorize and search your bookmarks
- Optionally use AI-powered features for bookmark organization
3. Your Responsibilities
3.1 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the URLs you bookmark and any content associated with them. You agree:
- Not to bookmark or save URLs that contain illegal content
- Not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Not to bookmark content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Not to bookmark content that contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Not to use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
3.3 Automated Metadata Fetching
When you save a bookmark, our Service automatically fetches metadata (titles, descriptions, keywords, images) from the target website. By adding a bookmark, you represent that you have the right to access that URL and that fetching this metadata does not violate any applicable laws or terms of service of the target website.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Your Content
You retain all rights to the URLs and custom content (notes, categories, collections) you create. The cached metadata fetched from third-party websites remains the property of those respective websites.
4.2 Service Content
The Service itself, including its design, features, and software, is owned by BookmarCat and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
5. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Use automated tools to excessively scrape or burden the Service
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Distribute spam, malware, or harmful content through the Service
- Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the Service
- Violate the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights
6. Copyright and DMCA

7. Account Termination

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOOKMARCAT, ITS OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service
- Any bugs, viruses, or harmful code transmitted to or through the Service
- Any errors or omissions in content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of your use of any content posted via the Service
- Content accessed through bookmarked URLs or cached metadata
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BookmarCat and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Content you bookmark or metadata cached from bookmarked URLs
12. Future Pricing
The Service is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscription plans, or usage limits in the future. You will be notified of any such changes, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of new pricing terms.
13. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services (such as OpenAI for AI-powered features). Your use of such features is also subject to the respective third party's terms of service.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Severability
